So is there any way to lower settings or do something to prevent the game of overheating my laptop so much? I used to own a laptop for 4 years (2012-2016) - Toshiba Qosmio X875-Q7280 Specs: Processor: Intel Core i7-3610QM (Intel Core i7) Graphics adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M Till the graphics card burned out of overheating while playing Rust. I bought a new one few months later. Now i own a - Asus ROG G552VW-CN287D. For the past 2 years (2016-2018). Intel Core i7-6700HQ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M On playing other games, whatever they are, my pc temp goes as high as 70 and nothing more. But when i play Rust, they reach 83-88 and sometimes 90-95 degrees. All my settings are mostly set to lowest available. But is there any specific setup of the settings that helps the pcs overheat less? No i don't have money to buy a new pc, and i won't have a money to afford a new one if something happens to this one too. I like Rust, alot, but sometimes it feels like my laptop is gonna explode, while playing it.
All you can do are the basics. Increase your fan speed or parameters Regularly clean your fans and radiators Regularly replace your heat compound with a good quality one (remember that the heat pad material is only suitable for one time installation so they need to be removed and replaced by paste) Ensure you have good ventilation around your laptop whilst using it Maybe look at getting a cooling/fan pad to sit your LT on Maybe try a mini vacuum USB air extractor
Yea i like i said, the only game i get so high temps with is Rust. Others reach not more than 68-70. Just Rust reaches 90 sometimes even 95
