As a French grammar nazi, hearing Quebecquois and its completely broken grammar just triggers me.
Also the irony that Quebecquois succeeded better at maintaining its integrity regarding the influence of English than Metropolitan French.

When you see how they keep butchering original movie titles, I'm not sure it's entirely a good thing :v

Thanks, I'll keep it.
Man, I love Paul. Every video is great.
But honestly this video surprised me, it was very nuanced and went deeper in the subject than I would have thought. Actually taught me a thing or two as well.
Thanks my dude, ça m'a bien fait rire. And I agree with you the video was interesting, subscribed!
I want to hear the comparison to Manitoban french. I'm pretty sure that would be a gong show.
France isn't that much better: we like to translate English titles into... worse English

Youtube comments are surprisingly tame, except now everyone is a pedant holy shit.
I'll never forget France for "Very Bad Trip". Or, more recently, for "Three Billboards: Les panneaux de la vengeance".
As a Frenchman from Paris living in Canada, I never found Quebec French to be hard to understand. It all comes down to how thick the accent is.
Some of those countryside folks from New Brunswick have one hell of a fucking French accent.
Hell, I'm sure people from the city would have a hard time understanding people from the deep countryside as well.
Thinking about it, that's kind of an almost universal fact ain't it.
Wow a whole 5 minutes, that's fast work.
4 more minutes than i should have spent on it tbh haha
Yeah ever try speaking English to someone from rural ass Cape Breton or (of course) Newfoundland? Good luck lmao cause I've never quite managed to
I hate that shit so much, I'm literally trying to get a job into the movie translation business just so I can reverse this god-awful gimmick.
Godspeed.
