Hello People of Rust,
Let me introduce myself, my name is Temp, I've been playing rust now for 4 years.
I have over 8k hours spread across numerous accounts.
Now, why am I telling you this?
I have been a dedicated player within Rust ever since I started playing, I have given my feedback on numerous subjects, and played the game even when I disliked some of the updates. I have died and lost lot's of loot to many hackers in the game but, continued to play.
I was waiting for the game to come out of Early Access like many others to hopefully bring some new features to the game. Well, Rust came out from Early Access and it was a sh*t show, I have never seen so many hackers in my life in the time I've played Rust, ESPECIALLY on official servers.
So, I started this wipe, the forced wipe like many others, built a base was doing very well. Well, a day after the wipe, guess what happens, like every time I play Rust, a group of hackers built a base right in front of mine, and continued to shoot me. I knew they were hackers because they were shooting me behind rocks, behind walls, and their aim was too good. I reported these players and carried on playing, some of them got banned. Well, they came back with new accounts which they probably paid $2.50, but how do I know they came back? They explicitly told me they were back with their previous name and they would continue to shoot me behind rocks and walls.
Then, I got raided, with their ESP and Aimbot it was clearly out of my control to do anything about the situation. So, I went to another server, rebuilt, spent days farming, same thing happened.
I understand that developers are trying very hard to combat hackers, and fix many issues within the game. But from my perspective, we have all been waiting long over due. This post will receive hate, and replies stating to "remove this post" or "why post something like this", but I feel as I have been willing to stay committed to the game even it it's lows, my opinion should still be heard and maybe something might change within Rust before it's too late.
I want to thank everyone who made my experience a memory, and thank you to the developers for creating a diverse, creative, fun, interactive game that we all love (despite the flaws).

This post was a lot more accepted than usual .-. In any case: as long as the engine is unity and the anti-cheat is EAC, there will always be hackers. Fighting them is a good thing but simply banning them won't change much, so we'd need a big fucking change for hackers to stop.

People cheat, it's just a fact. The reason I know people cheat in this game. I build a base with an outer section & inner section. The outer was purely for furnace & all the rest. The Inner section had my storage, tool cub & sleeping bag. I had 2 doors to reach the outer & 2 doors to reach the inner. All built out of stone with armour, on an official server might I add. Anyways, I had a big collection of weapons, stone, ore & so forth to enjoy the game before the next wipe.
Anyways, one day, I was in my base tinkering & I heard some people speaking what sounded like Russian. I took a peak & saw 5 of them. All had automatics & so on. I knew they couldn't get in & whatever so I felt safe. But, me being me. I stripped out & just had 1 weapon on me with ammo & left the base. Closing all doors behind me with locks might I add. Anyways, 1 guy seemed to know where I was at distance & kept shooting me, eventually killed me. I made a note of the name as I thought it was odd he could shoot me in the thick of woods when he was stood in the open. So, I spawned back in my inner section of my base & thought, Time for bed.
So, I woke up next day, did my stuff & when I come to play. I noticed I had been killed by the same player again. Which I thought to myself fuck. He blew up my base & got to my stuff. So, took me 2 hours to get back to my base. Then I noticed something very odd.
All my base walls we're in tact.
All my doors were closed & locked, where I was still the owner of.
After going inside my base. Noticed all the stuff I built was gone. Yet non of my base was damaged structurally.
I opened the 2 metal doors to my inner base. All my storage boxes empty.
Noticed my building had decaying on it. So, I opened my locked tool cub & it was empty.
So, explain to me how someone can gain entry to my base when all walls we're secure, doors were locked. Inner section secure & all locked. I still owned the base, locks on the doors & the cub. But all contents we're empty???
I stopped playing on public servers at that point. Cant play a game where people just cheat & little is done about it.
Buy game little time ago and so ecxited played it already over 1200 hours. Now yesterday got gamebanned for no reason. Never cheated on games, think what can be reason. Then going read threads on forum and got it.
Game problem is, they ban much wrong guys.
Cheating probably is too easy on game, and proving for cheating so small - they can't do nothing.
If i not get unbanned, deleting game and never back(ban me for no reason).
I am so frustrated...And play normally without cheating and nice communicate language. That's suck. Not buying new, they probably ban me again for nothing. Good buy RUST.

had to quit using stashes. was using them since theyve been in the game successfully, now all of a sudden they keep getting found no matter how well i hide them. not only that but they all get found at once even though they are split up well and hidden in weird places (not against rocks or obvious places)
between the the hackers, no lifers, and griefers there is a lot of crap we put up with because we love rust.
People that get banned for genuine cheats aren't going to admit they cheated lmao
I hope some day people who say like that and dont know about real story feel it same. They would see what you said there, thinking the same us me.
I have my Steam Account over 10 years. I never cheated. I purchase RUST maybe year ago and after this i played only RUST. Know that 1250 hours dont mean much to someone, but for me and my 10-14 hours work days its a lot.
So, i think im not so stupid that i used 1. cheats on my one and old account, why dont do other account if im cheating. 2. At last time played only RUST, so do you think i just want and waiting my ban or something? 3. I buy skins, crafting and raiding much...eh..have fun after work, thats it. Not cheating.

Years ago I did the exact same thing as the many people posting unban threads. I cheated in games and denied it outright because lying on the internet feels good when you're young and its easy to just say "lol can't prove it" Many times I even got away with it.
I never really said or am saying you cheated or not. I don't care either way. Only EAC cares about an unban.
Obviously if you're innocent that's lame as fuck and you should be unbanned.

Nah man, im not kid anymore. I have own son and i am almost 30.
EAC said they not unban me, so i decited end this game forever.
I thinking bying new one, but my friend said its not work if they already ban me for nothing so they ban me again probably, from same PC and IP-adress. This is my own laptop and never installed something wrong and really never cheated. That sucks, but no can do.
And if I had a penny for every time I have seen someone say/write this..I'd be freakin RICH!
