My Games Resolution Changes ingame hurting my performance

i play my game on 1440 by 900 and my game froze and swapped to 1920 by 1200 and i cant change it back ingame so i have restart my game. my computer is very slow and it takes 10 minutes to load into a server as soon as i launch. all im saying is i dont want my games resolution to randomly swap while im playing.

I Have just found it it has been a problem since 2016 and it hasn't been fixed. i don't want to play in windowed mode because i shouldn't have to to get my desired resolution.
