Fun fact: Collins was the very first House Republican to endorse Donald Trump way back in 2015. He remains very close to Trump.
Surprising Trump didn't reward him like Sessions.
Pardon in 3....2...1...
Imagine that, another scumbag republican.
https://twitter.com/NateSilver538/status/1027190575123124225 This could be another congressional seat in the bag for the Democrats. A scandal of this magnitude - getting fucking arrested by the FBI - can cost 10-12 points, and November's coming up real soon. Plus, I guarantee McMurray will be able to get a bump from the publicity alone. That said, Collins was up 34 fucking points in NY-27 in 2016. Even with this scandal, and if McMurray capitalizes on it perfectly, and with the general blue shift we've seen across the country, there's probably no real chance of a flip. It'll be fun as hell to see a 25-plus-point drop come November though.
"It's a deep state anti trump conspiracy"
...and another one bites the dust!

I am pretty fond of this blog article on the subject, if just for the headline: http://loweringthebar.net/2018/08/dumbest-insider-trading-crime.html
