PC Restarts on it own while playing games. What part is causing this issue?

Over the past week I've had two cases where while playing a game my computer will restart all on it's own.

I was asking around to friends who knew better and they said it was either my PSU is messing up and putting too much power into my GPU/it's just dying or my GPU itself is failing. Is there anyway to test which one is causing the issue? And if you think there are any other parts that could cause the issue could you tell me how to test it?

Also, try plugging off the GPU and booting up a game with integrated graphics to see if it's the GPU.

The only way this'll be helpful is if the computer still restarts without the GPU

If you remove the GPU and it works, it doesn't mean the GPU is at fault. If the PSU is unable to supply enough power, removing the GPU will fix it too, since the system is no longer drawing as much power.

Alright I capped ti by 10 percent and it happened again. So I'm not sure if I should cap it more or it proves that one of the parts are failing.

is the power cable plugged in fully? i once had mine get loose to the point where it had enough power to boot but crashed when playing games and sometimes when watching youtube

Ok, no kidding. I had this issue when i did a parts swap.

I spent 3 weeks trying to find out what was going on and thought it was faulty ram causing windows to crash or something weird since a test showed it had 100+ errors.

The real reason? the PSU was upside down, so it was sucking all the hot air in the case and overheating as soon as I played something demanding. I flipped the PSU back over and the problem went away immediately.

Actually wait if MSI afterburner is turned off does that stop the power cap? Because that might be why it's happening today.

Yeah I ordered a new one yesterday and I'm making sure to be more careful with the PC until it comes.
