Arrows/Spears/Projectiles being stuck in things even after picking them up

What the title said. Why has this been a bug for, what, years now? Really annoying to see arrows stuck
in barrels despite already being "taken out", or floating spears. Even worse when one gets bugged out
when its stuck in you.
