Killing enemies awards you experience, allowing you to level up. Each level provides points for the player to spend on modules. The gamemode can either be PvP or PvE. This gamemode is a revival of the old Source Mod Modular Combat, although it differs a lot from the original. You can switch modules using the quick-select menu (C) or by pressing undo (Z). You can use the selected module with noclip (V) or using the key bound to that specific module. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD2A3SoIyEA Modules https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/296397/1880f627-436d-4c6f-9ea6-d40c930fdb50/image.png Profiles https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/296397/6bdb75d0-5349-4149-b8e9-e0deffce0f12/image.png Scoreboard https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/296397/4c94d795-a3c9-4c7a-b2ba-1b014e36b2e5/image.png Quick-select https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/296397/c67490f6-f5d3-4d88-9ebd-dc87f6ed9c7d/image.png Mod comparison If you've played the original Source Mod you might be wondering what has changed. I've been developing this gamemode for a few weeks now and haven't really looked back at the original mod, so I took what I still remembered clearly (levels, experience, module-points, etc) while changing what I couldn't remember. Here's a list of what I remember differs from the original: Only a few modules from the old mod have been implemented in a similar fashion, most modules are either new or very different from the original Teams aren't implemented Enemies from HL2 EP2 haven't been implemented (due to most people not having its contents) although a few variations to standard Half-Life 2 NPCs have been added PvPvE hasn't been implemented, PvP (FFA) and PvE have. Enemies no longer spawn in front of you (possibly) I tried to keep the gamemode's style as simple as possible, no custom entities, no custom weapons and a simple UI. Warning At the moment, map-change doesn't work. I haven't found enough maps that fit this gamemode so I'll add a map-list system later on. For now, whatever map (with enough info-nodes) you select will do the job, you just can't change it in-game.
