It's as if Trump's attempts at fixing things absolutely fucks them up instead.
But I thought he was a business-sense president!?!?!?!?!?!?
"What’s ailing Carrier isn’t weak demand. Furnace sales are strong, and managers have increased overtime and even recalled 150 previously laid-off workers. Instead, employees share a looming sense that a factory shutdown is inevitable — that Carrier has merely postponed the closing until a more politically opportune moment."
Hot fucking damn, lol.
He runs the country like one of his businesses, terrible ideas and fucking everything up just to escape on a golden parachute. Just with 320 million people on the line this time.
Reading the article, it’s apparent that the employees are not entirely confident that the plant will remain open, reducing morale which in turn leads to excessive absenteeism. And ironically, that wide scale absenteeism would likely be a major factor in any future decision to close down the plant.
Trump saved the plant in the past, but that’s the past. The only link between the plant and Trump now is that many of the employees feel that Trump remaining in office is an ‘insurance policy’ for the plant’s continuing operations.
Its almost as if when people realize there's no long term future, there's no point getting up.
Smart workers.
