It's pretty interesting that they were able to get things started without the internet. I had always thought of furries exclusively as a product of the internet, they clearly would have existed anyway without it.
Interesting to see the long history although its probably safe to say that most people who are furry probably know as much about it as I did before this video.

From attracting questionable people and fetishes to conventions that are/have auctions and more questionable activities.
Even the attempt to blackmail venues etc. is all still alive today, seeing how some bronie conventions (you can probably fight if they count as furries, although same happened with furry conventions as well) went under quick.
Legally furries are considered an invasive species. Bringing one into the country or knowingly allowing one to live on your property can get you 10-15 years in prison.
