NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Democrats in Virginia have filed a lawsuit to try to remove an independent candidate from the ballot in a tight congressional race.
The Democrats filed their suit Monday against the state and its election officials. Democrats claim the petitions to place Shaun Brown on the ballot were riddled with forged signatures and other problems.
Democrats claim Brown is a “spoiler candidate” who could siphon votes away from Democratic candidate Elaine Luria. She is trying to unseat Republican U.S. Rep Scott Taylor in Virginia’s 2nd District.
The lawsuit points out that Taylor’s campaign gathered some signatures for Brown. Democrats say 35 people or their relatives have signed affidavits stating that they never signed a petition despite his or her name appearing on one.
A criminal investigation is already underway.
Short article, so I posted the whole thing. Emphasis mine.
I think the title should emphasis how the candidate possibly forged their petition votes, not that the Democrats are sueing, makes it seem like the Democrats are taking low tactics to remove competition (if what the article says is genuine of course)
or their relatives
What? How can a reletive sign an affidavit saying their relative didn't sign something?
iirc some of the signature were dead people
Same thing happened in Montana, the GOP is playing dirty.
Imagine being so desperate to win that you try and subvert democracy. It's not like Republicans can just run a campaign that convinces voters to vote for them because they have ideas to genuinely improve things. No, they have to make sure they hobble their opponents with bullshit like this.
Fascism, not even once.
Go fuck yourself with a shovel, you lying creep.
I understand you're talking about taylor but glancing at this from my notifications I thought you were angry with me
Republcans play so goddamn dirty, pushing for third party candidates to split the vote smh.
Ok dude quit unintentionally repeating yourself for two threads, And besides Democratic Party can hypocritically cheating too of allowing Right-wing third parties to spoiled Republicans win.
This one is literally Independent candidate as means with no party affiliation who likely cheated getting himself (I guess) in ballot.

Republican campaign was literally trying to get Brown on the ballot for the spoiler effect.
At least his posts are legible and not completely full of shit.
Proofread your posts. I know you have a disorder, but that doesn't prevent you from going back and making sure your posts are at least comprehensible.
No need to be rude to him, he has a condition that I can't remember what that makes it difficult for him to form sentences.
You should go fuck off as well, and with a tire iron
just kidding you're a really nice poster and I like you, please never change
It's really scary how this tactic is growing more and more
Obviously this would have worked really well in the past. But even in the digital age its being used. Absolute nightmare.
I can be aware for some them, especially that post.
But I have right that she (and any person believing Spoiler effect in general) are kinda wrong for just because this one is Independent candidate was likely an "Spoiler candidates" regarding unintentional insane logic that we supposedly only scapegoating on (any) third party's candidate for "ruining" of major party candidate's loss. Somehow implies all Independent candidates like Angus King or Bernie Sanders (hypothetically) are supposedly Spoiler candidates too.
But in this case, the independent was legitimately meant to spoil the democrat's votes. The independent is a former democrat who was only on the ballot fraudulently so the republican would have a lead. The same thing (sort of) happened with Jill Stein in 2016
But lets not forget there also two candidates (Gary Johnson and Evan McMullin) are also both (bit biggest so far by membership size and how they reach in polls for former) Third Party and Independent candidate that also lot more "steal" votes from both two parties candidates (Disillusioned center-right Conservative, Millennial and Military voters) than Jill did only convince Disillusioned Bernie supporters and some Left-wing voters like me for his loss to vote her.
Okay, but there was still Russian involvement promoting 3rd party candidates like Stein and Sanders to try to siphon away votes from Clinton, capitalizing on the spoiler
Maybe the people in charge should fix the system and make third parties viable instead of constantly bitching about the spoiler effect and then capitalizing on it whenever the political momentum shifts and suddenly it becomes a convenient way to sabotage the other party?
hes also a dick
Maybe if half his posts weren't rude af and the other half weren't garbage I wouldn't care so much personally. I sort of just see he posted and ignore it because it requires too much effort to read a post that's probably absolute bullshit or him just being a rude dick, but I can see why people would be upset.
And what a great job that did, with Bernie Sanders primary voters turning out to vote for Clinton in greater numbers than Hillary primary voters in 2008 turned out for Obama.
There was still incredible shit flinging at Clinton during the primary which was pro-Bernie and eventually ended up helping Trump. Democratic Party disunity helped Trump
What hell you heard this BS idea?
However I did remember there was survey that only close of 80% of Sanders supporters voting her due of obliviously followed what he said to defeating Trump and spoiler effect duh. And 8% (including me) only voting Jill Stein of very disappointed and unintentionally hypocritical respond from Sanders to tell them to supporting her from same example and really don’t feel ideologically hypocritical to voting Hillary (Faux Big tent center-right woman who lies just get more voters).
And I also for last part, Clearly Electors voted for him not popular vote you clud.
The idea is basically that during the primary, the Bernie side engendered the same basic conspiracy theories against Clinton that the Right has been doing for decades, which carried into the general. It's true that more Clinton supporters switched to McCain in 2008, but there really wasn't a big difference between Clinton and McCain in 2008. There should basically be ZERO reason for a Bernie supporter to vote for Trump, since they're essentially complete opposites, other than a general populist disdain for Washington.
u fukn wot
Thats not my question, It’s @CyclonatorZ .
Oh you still believing “Bernie Bro” myth that despite real minority of Ideologically right-wing people did supporting or voting him primaries is somehow claim predominantly all Bernie Supporters are white male only by now then Pro-Hillary media propagate to make it true?
Again sadly the same people I mentioned, vote Trump by 10-12%.
The Bernie bro myth is never going to fucking die, is it? I swear, if some die hard Clinton stans refuse to vote for a potential Bernie ticket because they still blame him for denying Queen Hillary her "rightful" spot in the Presidency, I am going scream.
I don't believe that Bernie denied Clinton anything and I don't believe that Clinton had a "rightful" spot or that she's somehow a queen because that's not how democracy works, but if that strawman of an argument helps you conceptualize things more easily, then fine. I'm saying that Bernie undoubtedly benefitted from Russian involvement and the pro-Bernie anti-Clinton rhetoric during the primary hurt Clinton during the general because it engendered conspiracy theories and set the tone for the rest of the campaign. The primary between Bernie and Clinton was just as savage as the general
You saying not defending her, but you still doing it undoubtedly by making more opposite (believing Pro-Hillary based conspiracy theories) than you claiming you’re not?
