I had this idea to start an interactive story through posed screenshots, is it good?
A screenshotted roleplay would be harder since it would require other people to download more addons, unless they're up for it.
Sounds easy to make..with basic lua knowledge you can do it
I don't think I'd need LUA, only an addon collection (Oh god, what horrid number of addons would we end up with after a few pages of roleplay)

Since you talked about Addon and you want it to be a interactive story, you will definetly need lua. How do you want to tell your story when to show the next pic, or even start? or even exist? You. need lua, and this all can be in one simple addon
Why would I need LUA for screenshots???? All I'd do is take a picture of a character in an enviroment with a chat bubble and other comic stuff. The players would decide what the character would do and I'd take a screenshot of what would happen. The cycle repeats.
Also, the addon collection would be used for a roleplay with content outside source game models.
In Your OP youre talking about people needing to download more addons if you use screenshots. Which makes it seems like you want some interactive story inside gmod as game for players. Which would work as addon. Which you need lua for. If you dont want this to be an addon then i have no idea what yo uare even trying to do here..

On this forum, not ingame, he will post a screenshot of a pose of some situation. The community will ideally post what happens next, allowing anyone who wants to to help write this story. Once a reply has X amount of agrees or just generally positive feedback, OP will make a new screenshot of that happening, then the community comes up with the next step and the same thing happens.
Kinda like a community-fed comic strip.

Yeah this kind of thing never went well on comedy night people would start of the story and it always ended something like, and he died, then another user would come in and try to save it and put but in the sequel he was resurrected, then another user comes in with the and he died again, people will always ruin your shit xD
