https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pphPdkHJ5n4 Perhaps others might not enjoy Alex Meyers as much as me, but his amazing voice, animations and some of his jokes about the terrible movies and shows he watches always tickle me.
The guy's prose is fine, I just dislike YouTube videos that have animated personas or chibi versions of themselves presenting. That ending was abrupt, too.
It depends on the persona, in my view. People like Armored Skeptic are terribly animated and I find it stale, so prefer to listen without the video if anything. However, Alex Meyers' animations are so impressive and... well, animated? I totally understand where you're come from though. His voice and humour is what I enjoy, just like with Dunkey.
Absolutely. Sorrow TV's been experimenting with it lately, and, well, ugh. It's mostly just brought the videos down in quality, but he's been getting a little better about it. And there's SaberSpark, who makes pretty good videos, but only has like 10 poses and refuses to draw any more. Even when his persona is displaying emotions that don't fit any of them. On the other hand, there's stuff like this guy, where they draw mostly new stuff every time. And the underrated masterpiece Dog and Game, who only has about 20k subscribers and hasn't uploaded in like a year because life isn't fair. And the weird hybrid of Overly Sarcastic Productions, where sometimes they have this fireside chat setting with the persona barely moving, but also have a lot of new art in the video-within-the-video. They probably should just have the main video be the whole screen all the time every time, but I still like watching them.
