Roy Moore Effect again
Literal Nazis are running for office in my country.
And winning. Remember, it wasn't just that Hitler was an asshole that made him dangerous. It's that he was surrounded by assholes that agreed with him.
Actually the Democrats are the real nazis, did you read that book The Big Lie: Exposing Roots of the American Left? All I can say is that I am very confident in the Republican politicians of today to bring positive change, unmatched intellectual integrity and support for the little guy in our God-blessed nation.
Apparently so. Let's hope this guy doesn't win too, otherwise America is truly lost.
Unfortunately, in this age of disinformation, you can't get away with saying things like this without a big fat "/s" at the end. Because no matter how heavily you apply the sarcasm, there are people who will legitimately believe and agree with your words at face value.
When asked about Jewish people in Missouri, he said, "Well, maybe they shouldn't vote for me.
This isn't the America B.J. Blazkowicz fought for.
Confederates and KKKs are pretty easy to convert to Nazism, people trying to make racist ethnostates in the US is an old tradition.
Time to wake up old Terror-Billy out of his coma... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbL0rMCNLkY
this is why Mcattskil won her election to begin with, ideological bastions struggle to out stupid each other all the time
Just another garden variety Trumpublican providing yet more justification for a blue wave.
Hitler won because of his party's mindgames and manipulation of the resulting rage of the Versailles Treaty. Now why this guy won. I, uh, don't know. What has happened to this country, my grandfather didn't fly over Europe for this.
Because Trump is killing the last remains of the moderate GOP. You enthrall yourself to him or get booted out of the party in the primaries.
Basically. The GOP, so desperate for a win, have souled (what little they had of) their souls and transformed into a hideous caricature of what it once was, and now, indenture themselves to this mound of human filth that is Trump and his organize crime family.
Tim Pawlenty lost his primary yesterday, widely attributed to his disavowal of Trump after the Access Hollywood tape
The United States has an official fascist party, and it is the Republican party
It's especially depressing when this candidate hails from your own state. I haven't even heard of this guy, but then again, St. Louis is pretty far from Clay County. I hope his campaign goes down in flames.
You know someone's fucked up when the Donald Trump supporting GOP is like 'whoa dude no fuck off'.
For all the screeching I've seen from some on the right, at least Ocasio-Cortez hasn't said shit like "Stalin was right". The conniptions over a socialist winning an election seems misguided when outright Nazi's and white supremacists are winning elections in their states and counties.
As if the Repubs aren't.
It's all about plausible deniability, Trump's so brain damaged it's very likely he himself doesn't even know what he's saying so it's easy to spin any and every racist remark as "he didn't mean what he said", and can always fall back on the excuse of "he only did the nazi salute at a rally once". It's a pretty low set bar, but somehow it's too high for this guy.
Don't forget about that film that shows that Nazis had gay people in their top brass. In case you're wondering if I am BSing you: Death of a Nation from The Guardian. That’s a tall order, and here’s the best D’Souza can muster: he says Adolf wasn’t a homophobe. Most historians think he was, and will cite as proof the 100,000 arrested for violating Nazi anti-homosexuality laws and the 15,000 murdered in camps. And yet here’s D’Souza claiming there were known gay men peppered about the Nazi top brass. Hitler didn’t have them executed or even demoted.
How dense do you have to be in order to believe that since some of Hitlers top aides might've been gay, he wasn't a homophobe? Stalin despised pedophiles, yet one of his top generals was a pedo. lmaoing @ D'Souza
The general political climate of Missouri can more or less be summed up as a contest to see how much we can embarrass the rest of the nation. I was at a local gas station a couple days ago to buy some beer and this shirtless guy walked in with a swastika tattooed on his chest the size of a dinner plate, proudly displaying it to whomever was around. I used to know a guy who proudly flew a giant Nazi flag over his newborn son's crib, he accused me of being Jewish once after I asked for the five bucks he owed me for giving his girlfriend a ride. This kind of shit has been going on for decades and it frankly disturbs the hell out of me how generally accepted it is.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/opinions/wp/2018/08/19/maybe-it-all-matters-all-over-the-country/ Let us hope.
He accused you of being Jewish just because you asked for $5 for helping his girlfriend? You should have turned that around on him, just to see the look on his face.
Not sure where you live in the state, but I'd say your judgement is far from universal. If one brandished a Nazi flag around St. Charles County (or anywhere close to St. Louis), they definitely wouldn't receive a warm reception.
