(thread title from the new papers headline) 200 feral chickens run amok on estate… and postie ‘too scared’ to deliver A PRIVATE housing estate has been overrun by 200 chickens — ‘scaring away’ the postman and leaving residents in fear of a health hazard. The ‘feral’ flock was created after a rooster and hen were abandoned by their owners when they left the new-build estate in Diss, Norfolk, earlier this year. Now scores of chickens and six roosters roam residential roads, with dozens of new chicks each week. Carol Morris, 71, said: ‘I love them but they are everywhere now. It’s crazy, and it’s getting too much. ... ‘It is dangerous, too, as the chickens are always crossing the road with cars coming through the estate.’ ... Some residents complain of noise nuisance as the cocks start crowing at 4am — and revealed their postman has refused to do his round. His stand-in, who asked not to be named, said: ‘I have to do this route now because he is frightened of the chickens.’ ... The RSPCA said there were no welfare issues and the chickens were ‘healthy and thriving’. ... South Norfolk Council said it had no legal authority to remove the chickens as they are classed as wild animals. I really like this news story. That bird is looking pretty cocky.
She's top of the pecking order
They should encourage the homeless to catch and eat them.
dude just release 5 cats
The hell's he such a chicken for? They're bad eggs that need to be taken care of, no matter how fowl of a situation it seems to be. Poultry.
Just realised the council has more power to move homeless people than it does to move chickens
This saying actually originates from hens pecking each other doesn't it.
Its her turf now
Who'd win in a fight between 5 cats and 200 chickens?
They've gone clucking mental.
But why?
It is dangerous, too, as the chickens are always crossing the road But why?
But why
To chase the mailman, didn't you read the article?
Get a few lads with some air rifles, knock out most of the males, and then give some minkers or falconeers some work. Any other problems can be dealt with by just keep a few cats on the estate.
where the fuck did I put my AA-12
I can't be the only one that misread that as Batman Menace.
The fuck are they all seriously from one Cock and hen? they must be inbred as fuck!
Turn the resulting chicken paste into nuggets
