Investors and banks should be very worried by such a suggestion. Their money is at risk if they can't audit to some degree the companies they are invested in regularly.
there's pros and cons, the downside is if the economy is sliding downward you don't see it fast enough. It is rare though to see them acknowledge the market's myopia though.
But surely he wants to show off how much better the economy is doing under his rule???
Also wants to make it easier to hide shady dealings.

Oh, dude, you're missing out if you've not seen The Big Short. It's both extremely funny and very informative. Steve Carrel's performance is excellent and it was intriguing to see him in a much more serious role than usual. I thoroughly recommend you watch it if you want to learn more about how The Great Recession happened.
