• C# for GMOD?
    3 replies, posted
Hello, I am a newbie at coding in general. I just gotten into some Glua and made a working SWEP that doesn't play with any sound. I have a C# course coming up, and I wondering how I can incorporate C# into GMOD. Any professional replies would be lovely. Thanks for reading.
Garry's Mod wasn't built with C# hotloading in mind. You're only real options for modding are either Lua or writing a binary module in C++, the latter being good for extra libraries (like Mysqloo) but not much else. So yeah, stick with Lua for Garry's Mod. The S&Box prototype game uses C# though, but there's no confirmations to whether or not the game will release any time in the near future. Sorry, but you'll have to stick with Lua for now.
I was afraid of this answer, but I knew this was coming. Thank you so much!
Well, there's also this thing I found. Never tried it, no idea how well it works.
