That is a lot of work for a little iron. That man has dedication I can only dream of.
He keeps getting really small amounts. He needs to take a new approach or this channel will stay like this forever.
Kinda depends what he has on his land.
The sound of the iron hitting rock was fuckin music to my ears. It's like he's entered the new age. Also, while it seems like a small bit of iron, imagine early civilization doing this. If you had like 100 people mining for ore, smelting it down, extracting as much as they can, every day...it would quickly amount to working amounts of ore.
A similar video showing the traditional process of working iron from ore to bloom to tool, it's almost 2 hours but really shows the insane amount of manpower required to make tools.

You only need to accumulate a relatively small amount of iron to make a decent cutting tool. The entire tool doesn't need to be made of iron, just its cutting edge.
so he's advanced to the iron age finally?
I read this as iron pills when I saw this on YouTube earlier. Interesting video, nonetheless.
Well, I find it intriguing how much work was required in those days. Kinda shows me what I have to be grateful for.
