• Trump's White House counsel Donald McGahn is a cooperating witness for Mueller

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/18/us/politics/don-mcgahn-mueller-investigation.html Mr. McGahn and his lawyer, William A. Burck, could not understand why Mr. Trump was so willing to allow Mr. McGahn to speak freely to the special counsel and feared Mr. Trump was setting up Mr. McGahn to take the blame for any possible illegal acts of obstruction, according to people close to him. So he and Mr. Burck devised their own strategy to do as much as possible to cooperate with Mr. Mueller to demonstrate that Mr. McGahn did nothing wrong. This bad boy is getting fired so fucking fast

Wasn't McGahn one of ones that said they'd resign if Trump fired Mueller?
White House counsel coffee boy Don McGahn, you mean. Sad! Time for Donald to fire someone on alleged pretext and then blurt out in an interview in a few weeks' time that it was because Russia. Again.
Nixon's White House counsel, who was part of Watergate until he flipped and aided the FBI investigation: https://twitter.com/JohnWDean/status/1030904135799910400?s=19
Shame Watergate's prosecutor, Archibald Cox isn't alive to see Goldengate.
Posted it before I think but I keep being reminded of his statement from the night Nixon fired him in the Saturday Night Massacre Whether ours shall continue to be a government of laws and not of men is now for Congress and ultimately the American people [to decide]
i prefer calling it Vodka-gate
I like the name Dumbfuck-gate
will a fellow Donald be the one to bring him down and restore honor to the Donald name?
"It is written in legend that only Donald can end tyranny Donald."
"There can be only one!"
As there is no honor among thieves, there is no loyalty among traitors.
"You have restored honor to our holy name, and for that the great Donalds of history thank you. Finally...we can rest in peace." http://www.slate.com/content/dam/slate/articles/life/holidays/2015/12/151218_RE_donaldDuck.jpg.CROP.promo-xlarge2.jpg
Stupid Watergate any% speedrun (gone wrong!)
Only the bestest and brightest legal team would believe trump when he said he did nothing wrong, or allow the WH council to actively cooperate in the investigation like this.
Trump has responded, on Twitter naturally. And what does he think? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2018/08/19/on-twitter-trump-lashes-out-at-russia-probe-compares-it-to-mccarthyism/?tid=pm_pop The gaslighting is intense today.

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031141396776984576 Literally but her emails. On August 19, 2018. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031134125602820096 https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031137499995930624 "I have nothing to hide but I've avoided giving Mueller the interview he wants all fucking year, that's transparency!" https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031150465759633408 So if the opposite is true, the President has turned against the White House Councel[sic]? That's the most honest thing out of Lord Twinkie's mouth (fingers) in weeks. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031152483949838336 I'm sure literally no journalists called Trump to complain about the NYT or to apologize. Also, Trump hates the NYT. Except for when they talk about him or run photos of him. He is fucking desperate to receive positive coverage in the NYT and treats it with incredibly high regard. But when they talk shit about him, they're his enemy, as is anyone who doesn't polish Trump's knob and ego. The Washington Post could write an article praising his dictatorial stylings and he'd suddenly go all wtf I love the WaPo and Jeff Bezos now.
Ok, so it's the president's official statement that NYTimes is fake news, failing, Hillary is the real crook, and that the investigation is a McCathyistic Witch Hunt. god damn i hate this era
Why can't he just keel over already, damn am I tired of seeing his ugly mug.
The guy can flail all he wants. It won't save his flabby orange neck from the headsman's block.
It's Monday, so he's yelling on Twitter again. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-calls-mueller-lawyers-thugs-and-a-national-disgrace/2018/08/20/99b829e2-a46d-11e8-a656-943eefab5daf_story.html https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1031508193107763200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw "Fighting back" isn't obstruction in Trump's world, but that's because in Trump's world laws don't apply to him. Trump thinks the DOJ's job should be to protect him, not prosecute him. He's just building Mueller's obstruction case for him, the daft corrupt idiot. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/19/us/politics/don-mcgahn-trump-mueller.html
This is 100% authoritarianism. At the center of our national identity is the notion of the rule of law. The law cannot exist without factuality. But Donald Trump's envisions an America without factuality, in which a leader can govern not by policy but with spectacle; instead of facts, the leader gives us a story. "I'm not obstructing justice, I'm fighting back." "Collusion isn't a crime." Et cetera et cetera. When we start to believe that story, when we lose our grip on facts and the truth, when we adopt an extreme relativism that says "There are no facts, only opinions" then the man with the most power, i.e. the most vocal opinion, assumes absolute control and completely dismantles the rule of law. Donald Trump wants his opinion to be the only one that matters. He exists in a world and subscribes to a worldview in which there is no factuality. He understands the rules of this world better than the rules of reality, hence why he spent most of his public life playing a role. He wants us to live in a "post-truth" America where corporate oligarchy reigns. The question is whether we're going to let him get away with it. For the love of God, vote.
