I Can't Join My Friends Server or Receive Any Game Invites.

Me and my friends have Garry's Mod and every time I make a server they can join but when my friends make a server I can't join. I've tried downloading Hamachi, but that was messing up my computer so I deleted that. I tried going to my console and typing in "connect IP Address", but it keeps saying "Connection Failed after 6 Retries". I even tried to click Join Game on my friend's profile, but it keeps saying Server Not Responding. I asked my friend if he could send me an invite. I was sure this method was gonna work, but of course it flopped like the other ones. Every time he sends a game invite, it doesn't show up in my notification box. He sent the invite 4 times and none of them showed up. I feel like I've tried everything and lost hope. Help please?

Have your Friend enabled P2P? Peer to Peer?

sounds like your friend needs to portforward usually just 27015 udp incoming on your standard isp supplied router but specifically its 27005 outgoing as well for more stricter networks/vps/servers
