My PC used to be able to run Rust perfectly on Beautiful graphics setting, but now it doesn't, I can't even load into servers anymore.
My PC Specs are: Gtx 1060 6gb, 8gb ram, i5-6400
And of course the problem is ram, but I tried even on 640x480 and Potato graphics and it just about managed to get past loading, but crashed 15 seconds later.
Why am I crashing now when my game used to run really smoothly on the best settings?
Its really bugging me because I wont be able to play rust for long time soon enough, and I want to play a bit more before I have to go.
Even with all background processes closed, no other processes opened, and XBOX DVR and stuff disabled, I still cant get past these loading screens.
Help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Mostly because rust had added a significant amount as of recent in regards to graphics and content. You're ram is quite literally the bottle neck. You can use the steps found in this thread to help allocate more ram for rust, which might help. Found fix for game crashing before loading in!
Thanks for the reply mate, tried a fresh install already, but Ill be sure to try that fix, I wont accept the answer yet til that fix works but I'll be sure to try
