Justin Trudeau will run again in the 2019 federal election.
The Liberal leader formally announced his nomination at a party event Sunday in his Montreal riding of Papineau.
The partisan crowd cheered as Trudeau reaffirmed his belief in what he called "positive politics," and took jabs at Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, whom he accused of exploiting fear and division.
Well, that's a cliffhanger if I ever saw one:

In terms of Canadian people's perspective though, how do you think he's doing? I see from the ratings so far that maybe not well? What are his strongest and weakest areas?
As much as I don't mind him, I can almost guarantee you he's fucked next year.
Almost all I read is just people going off on how much of a faggot he is and how he's taken the country too far left. I understand the latter a bit with his overly PC attitude, but I very rarely see people openly supporting him anymore.
And I really doubt NDP will win. There's just too many people that will see what he's wearing on his head and they won't look any further.
Bracing myself for the Conservative wave...
I'm not sure what Scheer's policies mean precisely yet, so personally until I learn more i'm sticking with the Liberal party.
Where do you live atm? I live in Montréal and from what I can see people see him as "meh, still better than conservatives". Plus, legalizing weed is gonna give him a big boost I think since it's ACTUALLY happening now.
I think he did ok. He ain't perfect but when it comes to politics no candidate keeps all their promises.
Plus i'm not sure anyone wanted another Harper run as well.
Cliché, but there's never been a better argument for "well at least we aren't THESE guys".
Ontario needs a Liberal federal PM, since we were dumb enough to elect Doug Ford. And in an era where the US and UK are suffering under imbecilic right-wing governments, it's vital that Canada stay left.
A bunch of deadbeat fuckheads calling a grown, and married man a "faggot", or "Cuck" does not equal a landslide defeat. He's definitely losing his majority, but I highly doubt the NDP will split the vote enough in the Federal election to allow the Conservatives to weasel in like they just did in Ontario.
The fact of the matter is that Conservatism is dying in Canada in general, they've just gotten louder in the past few years. The Conservatives struggled to get 40% of the vote in Ontario(and only won due to the left being split between the Liberals and NDP), and they will struggle to do the same nationally.
How's giving Trump the polite version of the middle finger while standing right next to him poll in Canada, its got to be worth something I'd think given how you guys are now a national security threat according to Trump.
Donald Trump sure is good at uniting people
Uniting them against him that is
Halifax, Nova Scotia. Weird considering that NS is Liberal majority.
IMHO the only reason he'll take the next one is that the other two parties are kind of a mess right now.
You guys should elect a PM who will build a wall on the southern border. Just to piss off trump.
He break one of important issues to only way to ending spolier effect by wastefully lying about saying he supporting it just get their country’s third party and NDP voters.
And sadly he quickly become an Canadian version of Obama after got elected as Prime Minister. But abandoned promises to just get voters into trapped.
Let me preface by saying I really do want electoral reform, and it should definitely still happen., but there is potential for loads of partisan-favored results. If we reran the 2015 election based on preferential and proportional (straightforward of either) here is the results for it under either in comparison.

Just annex America, papa Justin, please
Well Proportional look more give all third parties (or if in future minor parties) more seats with Conservative only some it with Liberals nearly good of decreasing seats.
So it still looks good than current or preferential (It only does make spoiler effect slowly more-or-less irrelevant in each election) and if Canada adopted that will get two or three more new parties some 5 to 10 more seats for each.
Personally, I don't have a huge issue with Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister. I am admittedly annoyed at the broken promise about election reform, but on the whole, I really don't have anything bad to say about him either. His time as Prime Minister has been relatively scandal-free and pretty much how I would imagine a stable centrist government to be. I'm an NDP voter myself and will be voting for them in the next election, but I still feel that Justin Trudeau would be a far better choice than Andrew Scheer.
I'm sorry, but you make it sound like we are all Neo Nazis. They barely have any numbers, hell, for proof that look at Unite The Right 2
If we did annex the States, I'd be less worried about Neo Nazis and more about those nasty Hershey's Kit-Kats taking over.
Though seriously, with Ford and Trump galvanizing opposition against the right, especially with trade, and the NDP and Conservatives both having some degree of infighting either between the provinces or their more extreme elements respectively, I can see the Liberals winning again. That and the fact the past conservative government is still pretty fresh in peoples minds.
That's why you ban Hershey's
unfortunately, the president we voted for surrounds himself with them, so I think we kind of deserve the labeling at this point
hey, most of us didnt vote for him
Enough of us did.
Did Neo-Nazis vote for Trump? Hell yeah, did everyone who voted for him neo-nazis? Hell no.
He has over 30% support rate, still
Most of them have Fox News and right-wing social media as their only news sources. To them Trump is not courting fascism or doing anything bad, or the that the liberals deserve whatever the neo Nazis are
doing.
people do not like scheer
he got in shadily and has been pissing off the conservative base ever since
