Was just wondering if any of the staff could post some stats as to how (if at all) the traffic on the site has changed since the move from vB. I know that I've been visiting the forum less since the move, but I was wondering if there is any actual trend here.
literally all you had to do was look through a couple pages of GD and you would have found this thread, which is exactly the thing you were looking for
The Decline of Facepunch, in Numbers
You could also have checked the literal STATS page in the upper right. https://forum.facepunch.com/stats/
Everything is fine, this is precisely what Garry and Hezzy worked so hard to achieve, don't take that away from them.
doesn't give stats about amount of posts per day or whatever, nor does it let me view stats from vB to compare
Why allow access to evidence that everything isn’t perfect? Just keep smiling!
In the old Forum Discussion thread I showed a decline of numbers on Facepunch, I think at our peak we had about 20,000 active users in 2012? Then we declined to about 5.5k before the move. Since the move, our active numbers have increased to around 7.5k active users and 22k visits each day.
that's exactly what i was looking for, thank you
Guessing a lot of that's the repatriation of the Rust section, and addition of FP games-specific sections. IIRC active usercount dropped considerably when the Rust section was spun off into Labpunch.
That was a mistake, it put back the time for integration. I think people have started to accept that people who came here for Rust are here to stay, although the elitist attitude still remains with a lot of original forum members
Mostly it's just elitism against "kiddies" more than it is "rust kiddies", I guess.
damn straight
deleted accounts. Would it be wise to disregard deleted accounts from the count statistics?
