I guess its good somebodies trying to make games to fight off Battlefield and Call of Duty? By making the exact same game?
It really looks like Battlefield 4 and I can't get as excited about it.
So its basically a shitty Battlefield 4 knock off.
So what are they actually trying to show other than generic shooty shooty? What are the games features?
It still looks like a parody of itself and I saw this video playing on TV in GTA 5, I'd laugh at it.
Can't we just get a World in Conflict World War 3 FPS? Fuck's sake I hate modern shit.
Modern war is probably favorite setting for shooters, but this seems generic as fuck.
Looks generic but at least the controls seem nice
Well, I mean, I guess there's room for this right now, since Battlefield went back to WWII. The real question is: what are the microtransactions going to look like?
wait you don't keep your hot dogs secure in some fingerless gloves?
The trailer is super hammy and cheesy, however, I don't think it looks all that bad. It looks like an honest attempt of trying to mix and match the funnest and best aspects of tactical shooters (cod, arma, bf mainly). Probably the only thing that I really don't like that was teased in the trailer was the dramatic fall from a high distance into a kneel, then stand animation. Disabling CROWS on a vehicle with small arms fire probably won't change much but is still an interesting feature. It looks stupid, fun, and over the top. If the game isn't a stupid, broken mess on release I could see myself having fun playing it.
It doesn't look too bad, but I just find it funny the comments section right now are describing this as 'the real BF for this year' and the 'Battlefield for people who want a good Battlefield instead of Soyfield Vagina' just because it's not BFV lol
I really, don't get the hate for BFV. Does anyone even play the single player in a BF game? They are all bad except for Bad Company 1 and 2. Multiplayer looks fucking great in BFV.
I'm all for a Battlefield competitor tbh.
This looks like its copying BF4 a little too hard however I will say thats not necessarily a bad thing, a few small changes to an existing formula can go a long way in terms of enjoyment, but that's speaking optimistically if the differences from BF4 to WW3 are good. Whats really killing my interest in this game is all the "BF we actually wanted!" hype. I kind of fell off battlefield late into 4 because for me at that point, most games came down to aimless mob strategies that became repetitive and mind numbing. Everyone either had no idea what they were doing or knew exactly what they were doing but only playing for themselves. The marketing and the hype for this game tells me its going to be the same kind of game with the same kind of players and I don't think I'd enjoy that.
The movement looks fun, might end up picking it up if it isn't gonna be too expensive.
I'm willing to give it a chance, theirs some cool ideas like shooting out vehicle optics and stuff. Plus its a PC only game so no watering down for console peasants.
It just looks like cheap BF4 with some of that patented Arma Jank™
The only way I can see this being even remotely popular is if it were free to play. It looks like Battlefield 3 or 4 if BF3 or 4 were F2P games
The maps look nice, but the gameplay looks janky as all fuck. I lost interest in modern war crap after BF3 anyway, if it was set in the 50's or early 60's I'd probably be interested.
Ditto. I like Battlefield but more competition is going to light a fire under EA's ass.
This, right here, so much. Battlefield 1 may not have been as balanced and cohesive as Battlefield 4 was, but it's the only battlefield game I've played in recent history where I've found people would actually work together to try to play the game. It wasn't hard to find some gunners for your heavy tank for example, and people seemed to actually try to provide ammunition, medpacks and support to one another. It's not like people were working together to capture flags or change the tide of the battlefield or whatever, but out of all the Battlefield games I've played BF1 was the one people seemed to try to help one another the most and not be selfish douchebags...
Yeah, just as I expected from some random Battlefield-style game that's not on Frostbite or by DICE Really funny when people were parroting the whole 'BF killer' thing when they don't realize that making a game with Battlefield's scale is no easy feat and is very prone for easy low-budget jank as shown here. Also amusing that this also shows that modern warfare looks bland as shit in today's FPS landscape. Regardless though, I'm gonna give it a try. There's some neat stuff in there that I'd love to see in BF4 instead like the freelook and what it looks like the ability to damage parts of armored vehicles with gunfire which is perfect to fuck off MG whores in vehicles.
I mean for a small team - great job. But it still looks janky as fuck.
looks like the game either lacks netcode smoothing or the simulation rate is super low
Tbh, they'd guarantee a buy from me if they have mod support Could fill in that empty niche of moddable BF sandbox and probably give rise to some legit cool shit like another Project Reality [sp]third one at this point if we're counting that BF3 PR project[/sp]
It looks like someone tried to adapt that Epic Games joke game from like 8 years ago into an actual title, with all its terrible voice acting and animations too.
I still can't tell if this is an elaborate joke that hasn't hit its punchline yet, or it really is just a congealment of every generic "triple A" FPS from 2012-2013.
