Great! Now people can mine bitcoins twice as fast!
Looks like the old reliable GTX 970 is going to have to hold me over for a bit longer then, until the 1080ti price drops big time.
lol $1200 for the ti version, fuck
Yeah, fuck off with those prices. Im still holding onto my LAUNCH DAY 980 (Non-Ti). I wanted an excuse to upgrade you greedy twats.
i hope any miners that still exist move to this and ruin their prices so people can get that still excellent for gaming 1080
Ooh, I like the designs at least. Weird how they're bringing out the Ti version alongside the standard flagship, though; usually they hold it back for a few months. Still staying Team Red, though. Nvidia's just too high for my budget.
Finally. If it weren't for some upcoming vacations I would've bought a TI now. After having 2 980's in SLI for the past 3 years, fuck SLI and everything about it.
Damnit, was hoping they'd come out a bit sooner, I just ordered a bunch of parts today in a preparation for this. Then again I guess a month gives me enough time to make peace with dropping possibly over $1500 on a single part 🙃
Already sold out on the pre-orders before they even announced the cards at the conference. Great job guys
I've been planning to pick up a 1080, but I suppose I can just continue to hold out a while longer and go big.
The website listed the price as $99,999 just a moment ago. Looks like the website debuted prematurely so don't get too hopeless yet. Could have been an error of some kind.
I always just press the order button before I have even a moment to convince myself otherwise. Now my problem is that the next 30 days aren't going to go by nearly quickly enough.
Hopefully this means that some of the current gen cards will lower in prices sooner than later. I just bought a 1050Ti last month that has worked wonderfully, but it's always nice to have more affordable upgrade options.
What about the 2060 versions? Fuck I can't afford $600 card or convince my wife of that price.
Remember when the X70 tier cards were $300?

who mines bitcoins on GPU's anymore
nobody.
1070 was $300 to $400 before crypto fucked the prices. Prices are still a bit fucked.
Nobody mines Bitcoin on GPUs anymore but GPUs are still hugely popular for various alt coins.
Also don't buy the reference cards, always more expensive and shittier.
HOYL FUCK ITS WORKING ^_^ Edit: oh shit, it really says i payed 99,999.99 Im so fucked Edit: im crying. we are gonna be poor. oh fuck oh fuck i need to email Nvidia and demand a refund
We were all expecting a price bump.
I don't know about the rest of the world but where I live the reference/FE cards were always the most expensive, there's always a chance the third party ones will both cost less and have a higher clock speed
Still probably going to have the price preimum, and the EVGA, ASUS, etc versions will be way better like usual.
Back to the 80's Back to soap To Monkey_123 being poor Those were the days!
Still stuck on a 670GTX I'll never get to upgrade at this rate.
Hopefully the 1070s start to get cheaper.
Really curious about the inclusion of NVlink in lieu of SLI. SLI was an absolute trainwreck, even during the romanticized launch period where syndicated titles launched touting support for the technology.. It's gone downhill from there. I really want to believe NVlink is a hardware level feature which doesn't require intensive developer / engine integration.
