That weapon upgrade tree system reminds me a little of BC1/2 or hardline
Yawn.
why dont just make a steampunk fantasy as the setting? this doesnt even look like the 40's.
I would have been ok with that far more than this distorted depiction of an era that didnt call for a need of a reboot that sparkeld all sort of sjw nonsense battles.
for a second I thought it had something to do with Bad Company
Still pissed off with the naming conventions...
I do enjoy that fortification thing. that's something battlefield should have had a long time ago
Great shame that it's only available in specific places.
It doesn't even need to be steampunk, just an alternate-history WW2. A bit like Wolfenstein but with less magic.
The weapon trees remind me of Destiny, I feel like that's too much mess in the sandbox.
I don't get this game, what's it going for at all? Like the direction of 1 was really good, this though, I don't get it at all.
The one trait they showed was something that extended the range and hence damage of the weapon. This system is going to be a disaster if they have even close to the amount of guns that BF1 or god forbid BF4 had.
I can't wait to die to someone and have to wonder if they had the perk that increased their reload speed or the perk that made their damage drop off less at range.

All they really need to do is make Battlefield V a Bad Company 3 set in WW2 and, really, all the tonal and customization woes can be justified given Bad Company's tone.
I just had the slight bit of thought that the reason why the whole game barely looks like it's set in WW2 is so that they can pump fuckloads of cosmetic loot boxes
Now I can't get that out of my head because that sounds like the exact thing EA really wants to do
Honestly, BF1 is up there among the better BF games just for the fact that they finally separated the Assault class from the Medic
I'm much less tempted to wish for a massive -1000 point reduction for missed revives after the huge jump in revives thanks to that change alone
There's no way that upgradable weapons won't cause massive issues. They've shown in the past that even selective mods can be completely broken, but entire upgrade trees?
No loot boxes in BFV, you know what you're getting when you buy something.
Good luck identifying friend from foe with all the cosmetics shit
Didn't they say each side had their own cosmetics?
Oh they did? Give me bad reading
Oh my god the multiplayer is gonna become a mess.
I dunno, I heard the gunplay feels like Bad Company 2, and other changes I read sounds great. Really, I don't really care what the setting is in BF since every SP (except for Bad Company 1 + 2) has been bad.
cool i cant wait to be on an entire server full of snipers
too many devs try to make games team based, but it never ends up being like that. It'll basically end up being everyone running everywhere with little teamplay other than a few guys sitting on the objective.
Have you ever played any single Battlefield game since Bad Company 2? It's always been like that.
that's my point, they're really pushing the "we built this game around teamplay" but it literally wont change lol
Someone please write out the actual dialog from that because my god was it a load of shit.
"For the first time in battlefield history we have a class based system" ??????
"Battlefield V will never be the same again" The same as fucking what? The other, previous version of battlefield 5 that is somehow different?
"For the first time in battlefield, each combat role has a unique loadout, and unique abilities."
This is true, because combat roles are new, and are more like subclasses really. Listen next time.
Some of the visuals are giving me Battlefront 2 vibes and reminding me that they basically abandoned the game to plop out this piece of shit, pass
