Ten bucks says Cayde will be resurrected somehow at the end of the campaign.

I hope that the player character gets to actually speak again and it's Nolan North.
Nah, he's dead. Leaked game files/lore tabs have even made mention of a new vanguard in Cayde's place. Plus with Nathan being unavailable and Nolan filling in for what's left - I actually think they're going all the way and killing him off for good.
They'll probably ressurect him with another VA
The closest we will get to a "resurrection" is probably a Vex Consciousness pulled from their databanks, since they keep data on everything past, present, and future. Bungie has pretty much said cayde is dead because his ghost is dead. Ghosts are One-of-a-kind and can only bond with one person.
"Well, this game is a train wreck, what can we do gentlemen?" "Kill off the only likeable character?"
