Coalition wisely decided to go with the lesser of two evils.
Dutton would have been a lot more controversial.
The election can't come soon enough.
Scott Morrison is a heartless fuckwit who cemented the use of indefinite detention in concentration camps on isolated island for refugees. He then went on to treat vulnerable people like dogshit in his time as minister for social services.
basically he's the Liberals wet dream
Can't wait for next year to have a new PM yet again (Labor should get in).
Predicting guaranteed Labor win next election
Bring on the federal elections! Tho who do we choose? Scott Morrison v Bill Shorton, they're both pretty rubbish to be honest. I wonder how the Greens will fair this time around?
Bill isn't great by any stretch of the imagination but I'll take him over ANY liberal MP. At least Labor will do something about climate change.
Greens are going to lose ground to Labor. They've lost a lot of favour in the last year.
While Labor has questionably supported a bunch of bullshit "security" laws including the recent laws designed to target whistleblowers they aren't at all on the level of the climate change denying, human rights abusing pieces of shit the Liberals are. The Liberal party who seems to be dead set on ruining all quality of life for Australians be it with the renewable energy halting NEG or through completeling sabotaging our welfare system. To call both of them rubbish is a completely unfair comparision.
I’m always going to vote for the local Nationals candidate above the incumbent Labor member, as my seat has been held by Labor non-stop since federation, and indeed there’s been a family dynasty on this seat over the last 30 years.
Safe seats, regardless of who holds them, ought to die.

I'm enjoying the latest season in Australian politics.
There’s a lovely aroma of baked potato wafting through the halls of Parliament House this afternoon, after Dutton sticks his head in an oven.
Clive is going hard on viral content. I can attempt to enjoy it
But it's not going to win a vote
On the flip-side, my electorate has been a safe non-Labour seat since federation. If there was a terrible liberal PM who got thrown out, my electorate would feel sorry for them and vote to support the 'underdog...'
hope morrison enjoys his participation award in the next election for "didn't lose as badly as expected"
"You are now 30th prime minister of Australia, Congratulations"

Our 5th PM in 5 years. What an absolute shitshow.
It's to a point where, as a foreigner, I don't even feel like I should know who the PM of Australia is because it's different every time I hear about them
there is surely more to come as well, next year, then maybe the year after!
