I refuse to use headphones and usually keep my volume down on a lot of videos because of this shitty "earrape = funni XDD" meme thats resurfaced from the depths of 2008-2010 youtube

Really I think it's just that people who aren't in touch with internet culture are discovering all of these memes (and memes as a concept for that matter) a decade after everyone else got sick of them.

I have too, but the quality youtube poops I enjoyed didn't have earrape. It wasn't what defined it, it was the stupid edits people did of like, Hotel Mario's Mario getting blended in a pipe.
