The footage is surprisingly in line with my memory of it when I played it as a wee lad.
Man, I remember playing this every day after school as a kid. It was a piece of shit, but I loved it.
I really enjoyed the Matrix games as well, I miss Matrix online.
I really want a Matrix game based around the Battle For Zion, I fucking love that part of the 3rd movie so much, with current tech it could most likely be done really well, swarm mechanics for the Sentinels and bunch of really nice shit.
I remember this game being hard as fuck, but super fun regardless. The graphics also blew me away at the time.
He didnt talk about the dos system easteregg that you had to figure out riddles with trinity through the code, which unlocked a bonus unfinished area that had the hallway of backdoors.
At least Enter The Matrix/Path of Neo/Matrix Online actually tried and sort of succeeded, especially since at the time 99% of all video games based on films were irredeemable trash.
I never played the mmo but I will always remember how horrifically it ended

Some parts, mainly when agents showed up or some of the hand to hand boss fights were pretty badass. Also the gunfights with breakable pillars. On the other hand there were also parts that were very annoying.
I think this game introduced me to the concept of "jank but still fun"
My favorite part is discovering the hacking thing, where you could unlock cheats, a debug level with all the weapons in the game, and just a bunch of neat secrets and easter eggs. Discovering these as a kid was a mindblowing experience, and was one of the times I felt like I was poking around somewhere where I shouldn't be poking at

Am I crazy or did this hacking minigame let you unlock a bonus fighting game where you could play as a car? I can't find any videos or screenshots of it
Enter The Matrix is weird for me cause I beat it multiple times and did most of the stuff in the hacking minigame, but I barely remember any of it
Oh man, now that I think about it I would LOVE a remaster or remake of this game.
That'd make sense, I played it on Xbox
Yeah I remember that too! Had a lot of fun playing that with my brother

Matrix games need to make a comeback. With how much open world games have evolved over the years, I think they could do a really good one now.
