i am running a fresh minimal install of ubuntu 18.04.1 lts and i'm trying to set up the driver for my netgear a6210 usb adapter.
This is the link i found for the driver
as far as prerequisites for compiling go i have make, cmake, and build-essentials.
im following the instructions but whenever i try to "make" the driver i get this error:

googling for the error gives me a bunch of stuff that seems tangentially related but doesnt seem to be the same error or yield useful solutions.
does anyone know how to resolve this error?
Seems it won't build on kernel 4.15 (see: failure on Kernel)
I'd try this instead: GitHub
get libelf-dev with your package manager and try again?
