He found it last night, presumably looking through some old things. Here's the tweet; https://twitter.com/MartyTheElder/status/1033437500193169408
@9:11 It's just incredible we have the moment that riff was recorded. That starting splash screen when that riff plays stirs up so many fond memories.
17:50 "yeah!" "YEAH!" "YEAH!" "YEAH!" lol
National Anthem for Earth.
It's not just the Mjolnir mix but also Reclaimer so much testosterone in just this session
Holy shit, had no clue Niles Rodgers was on the soundtrack.
This is so fucking cool to see. Hearing that original riff gave me goosebumps. I might go play Halo 2 again...
Marty O’Donnell is a fucking treasure. It’s so awesome to see him hand this to the fans and still be a part of Halo’s community years after his last work on the series.
Wow, seeing that first run through at 9:10 is incredible. Being able to experience the conception of something so special and iconic that touched so many people's lives is just unbelievable.
Regardless off all the memes, jokes, and era of xbox fanboy arguments. Halo is easily one of the most memorable games I've played. I have a lot of fond memories playing with friends, going to midnight releases and skipping school the next day to play halo all day. I remember one day before I left class one of my teachers said to me and a few other classmates something among the lines of "see you in a few days, let me know how it is." There was so many people at that gamestop that night that the police thought the mall was being rioted and we had a police helicopter do a few fly overs with spotlight and all, a few cop cars to come check on us. When they figured out it was for the midnight release they laughed and drove away.
