Learning actual Lua will serve you a lot better for the long run and a lot of that knowledge will make GLua easy to pick up and run with. There are plenty of resources for Lua.
This is pretty much the only site for GLua support - you might find some Lua discussion on the GMod Steam forum but it's a bit of a mess. You can also try the lua-users chat room or mailing list for general Lua help and talk.
