i mean it's a 10 year old game, the fact that it managed to stay even remotely relevant for that long is extremely impressive
in a year it's gonna be as old as counter-strike 1.6 was when csgo came out

TF2 absolutely be relevant again if the TF team releases updates and communicates. CSGO and Dota 2 have way more developer interaction. All TF2 gets is three blog posts a year and three reddit posts.
