• Controller not working in Rust

I have always used a PS4 controller to play and have never really had any major issues with it. I haven't played Rust in a few weeks and decided to play today. When in Steam menus the controller works fine like it should but as soon as I go into Rust, it's unresponsive. I know it's working correctly because as I have stated, it works in Steam menus and everywhere else on my PC. Could there possibly be something with the latest update that is blocking the controller? I can't play with a mouse and keyboard as my PC is connected to my tv in my living room and I am using a Logitech keyboard and trackpad all-in-one. However in Rust, the mouse and keyboard DO work properly. Does anyone have any advice or guidance that can help me?
Are you using it through big picture itself (Can set to always use BPM when controller is connected). I only know of one case of a game straight up blocking BPM (Wolfenstein2) but they fixed that. If you can see big picture modes menu using the Logo button https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/716/cac1467a-693f-4723-bd30-208c7c1b32d8/image.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/716/a1a8161e-1aa0-4203-91b7-cab2774c2043/image.png I am betting you already know about this of course, since you did say 'steam menu's. It's likely Rust just doesn't have controller support at all, but you should be able to configure the controller for mouse-keyboard inputs, can even enable gyro aiming.
Yes, that has been some of the minor issues I've had to deal with has been switching between Big Picture on and off.
