https://www.pcgamer.com/divinity-original-sin-2-definitive-edition-is-out-friday-as-a-free-update/ The 8.2 GB Definitive Edition update promises "approximately 150,000 new and rewritten words," according to Larian, with a lot of focus on the third act. There are also new areas, fights, and performance improvements, as well as new Story difficulty that tones down the battles for those who aren't much into tactical wizardry but want to see the final act within their lifetimes. Looks like I gotta start a new campaign again. Them finishing Act 3 is a blessing tbh, Felt extremely unfinished and pointless.
It's a shame they never really did dlc for D:OS or 2.
Wait, it's already almost out? I still need to get around to playing the first one!
Got so caught up in Senior Year finals I never finished this game. Gotta get back into it!
if you'd like someone to c-op with, look no further
Downside with this is that the saves are not compatible.
Wait Act 3 is considered Nameless Isle and Arx? I thought it was, Act 1 - Fort Joy, Act 2 - Reaper's Coast, Act 3 - Nameless Isle, and Act 4 - Arx. Either way it's great that they're fixing the later half the game because it was no doubt unfinished and I'm looking forward to going back to it.
I'm guessing they're referring to Arx because there is a 52 page document that was released about a lot of the DE changes and the story section entirely focuses on the changes for Arx. This is the document linked in their Kickstarter page(tons of spoilers obviously): The Detailed List Of The Definitive Edition Changes
Does somebody know if they changed the dialogue for many characters reacting to Fane accordingly? There were many who never had a problem with him being an Undead.
That updated journal alone makes me want to go back for another 150hrs damn. DOS2 was already one of the best RPGs in recent memory and his update might just push it over to one of the best RPGs ever.
Lol i thought it said "Destiny 2" and go so confused
Larian Studios is such a great company, they put really a lot of effort into their games.
https://youtu.be/7Wa6U758MgQ?t=1646 Can somebody tell me how to do that circle thing at 27:29 on PC? It looks really handy to pick up everything in a certain radius.
I only know it's a controller thing. I think it's holding down X or A (PS4 / Xbox) so it does that. If I play it by myself, I use a DS4. It's a very handy feature indeed, which I don't think exist when playing with mouse and keyboard.
How I wish they made a full on story DLC but this is amazing too.
This game is amazing, I wonder how much new content they are adding, New areas and quests sounds great but I'd really like to see a few more origin characters too.
I thought I would hate this type of game but the game is amazing, did two playthroughs and one with a buddy and had a blast each time. I don't regret any second of it and my money was totally worth. One of the best games I've ever played.
Game is so good it was worth picking for far less discount than usual (30% or something like that). Also - thread titles should be changed to "Divinity OS2..." cause it might cause confusion with real Divinity 2.
Wouldn't want people to think they're releasing a updated version of 2009's hit, Divinity II
Hopefully the difinitive edition fixed the scaling issues the original had, near Act 3 scaling got so ridiculous that even legendary pieces of gear would be inferior to rare gear that was leveled a level higher. It really bummed the joy out of finding good loot, since even legendary uniques already had to be replaced when you leveled up.
There were some solo builds that depended heavily on legendary gear, but yeah, that was definitely one of my gripes with the scaling in the game by the end. I wonder if my Fane solo will still be good on the new difficulty?
I just wish that they would release a Linux version of Original Sin 2, the first one ran amazingly - and even worked fine in Wine. The second has neither, which is really sad.
I hope they fix the shit final boss. Seriously, why didn't I get to fight the God King instead of a dude whose ass I already kicked a third of the way into the first game?
my biggest problem with is game is how underwhelming the ending is compared to the journey
Was anyone tortured by this OST sounding extremely familiar for some reason but was completely unable to put a finger on it? https://youtu.be/BksokWc3Da4?list=PL1Uj0cNo6vn0e-QgktxAE2iU6lKAj_P5t https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/223964/df7dee81-cce7-4526-9473-a9c4066ddc3b/Untitled.png
The only thing that I heard some similarity was how it sounded like a soundtrack for a fantasy movie from Hollywood. Given that Borislav Slavov was a pupil who learned under Hans Zimmer, it's no surprise that he would make songs with very catchy melodies.
