Correct me if I'm wrong. But don't banks require you to have a social security number and other bits of proof that you are a US citizen?
Words cannot describe the rage I feel towards the current political and social state of america.
Let me guess, before the Holocaust Jews had their financial assets frozen and assets seized?
I believe there may be alternative valid identification, such as ITINs which many non US citizens working in the US have.
Krisstalnacht, or something like that, was when Germans burned and wrecked Jewish shops and stuff. It was just the beginning though.
Can you imagine how fucked people are going to be once we become a cashless society?
Batering will simply come back in fashion for those working (or pushed) outside the system.
Jokes on them, I am gonna stash my bitcoins under the mattress
You really think that bartering would be more popular thsb something like crypto?
When it's adopt currency launders are fucked.
america is a facist shithole tbh, i'd get out while you can planning on leaving once i finish my master's and get off probation
You don't have to be a citizen to have a SS number
Don't forget you need a computer, or smart phone, and an internet connection to use cryptocurrency. If America crumbles hard enough and the average Joe feels the current bubble pop - nobody will be using cryptocurrency seriously.
So the real witch hunt isn’t a fat orange pig getting spit roasted, but instead US citizens being deported and denied their own life savings.
No actually they were first forced to split ownership of their assets with "true" germans, then legal protections were chipped away until they had no rights to challenge anything. Usually they were forced by their business partners to give up ownership to their half of their stuff, then later on just legally forced to do so as they were no longer legally people in the german state therefore could not own property. Its an incrimental process to dehumanize a people.
We'll become cashless, but everything still has value. Material and food will always have value. Violence is part of human nature, so stuff like lead and iron will always have some intrinsic value.
Considering how volatile crypto can be, yeah.
Please tell me more about human nature
It's all meme, Jack. All memes.
It's great that Trump brings out Godwin's Law in the third reply, but please just don't compare to the worst thing that happened in recent history in order to make a point. There are more substantial posts that can be used to bring these nation-destructive actions to light. Also what does Bank of America have with the Trump empire? Stocks? Cousin's roommate's neighbor is related to Trump? Why are they so anal about people storing money with them or even taking it from them, giving faith that more money could be put with them?
You think crypto is fucking viable?
Probably just a couple of Trumpeters in upper management. It's Bank of America, after all. Gotta play the part, too.
I'm sorry, I don't make Nazi comparisons often but I'll refrain
Considering getting any amount of crypto is only attainable by enthusiasts, yes. If people don't have credit, they sure as fuck won't have crypto.
I've always considered BoA to be the most shady of banks since like 2011 so this really doesn't surprise me.
Crypto is shit compared to a Fed backed currency, but do you really think that bartering is more stable? Bartering suffers from all the issues of unregulated markets, + all the issues of it being, you know, bartering.
um you dont need to be a US citizen to have a bank account how do you think perm residency works laffo
Probably just taking the cue from the administration's constant provoking of racial tensions and scapegoating of foreigners as a sign that they can steal people's entire life's savings under the guise of enforcing citizenship checks. The "immigration debate" in this country is the most disgusting non-issue topic I've seen in my lifetime. Like christ, I get that illegal immigration is bad, but is it even on the top 10 list of issues in our country? Is it bad enough to warrant the amount of collateral damage going on? This is so evil
Lol good luck. You can't even legally enter Canada for like the next 10 years.
