like the title say's i'm trying to get a building converted form MMD to gmod..HOWEVER the only file types i could find/people linked me to were x file types (note try googling X files and see how helpful it is) anyhoo im looking for somone to convert this X file type into a file type that would be compatable with Blender-3ds or Milkshape anyone able to do this? unsure if i can link to a website to download it on here so i'll wait and see if people can help
I dunno. Searching for .x model file format works. Blender has a .x file importer inclusive. You maybe just have to enable it in the addons. I know that without google.
the issue is my modeler freind only knows how to use Milkshape and can't find an import for it hence why i'm looking for someone to put the X file into blender and convert it to a format that Milkshape would comply with
Just post the link then. Somebody may be able to do it. Quicker then asking and 'talking' about what you and friend can't do.
like i said i was concerned about linking on here Zippyshare.com
Okay. Blender doesn't actually have the importer inclusive, just an exporter. Damn shit. Anyway, the world is bigger then the blender org office and somebody else coded it. tokyoskytree_fbx_obj
Out of curiosity, why does your friend still use Milkshape? Blender is a far better and modern alternative
i really couldn't say..i was told it's easier for them to use/understand
That's a poor excuse, he really needs to use Blender instead, he is using severely outdated software and its better in the longrun if they learn Blender instead. It's more difficult, but that's pretty much any 3d Modelling program now.
Milkshape is great for importing rare file types and exporting them into more useful ones like Obj, its import list is HUGE and has names I've never even heard of, like, wtf is "SKN"??? Apparently it's from Sims, I remember a guy in the forums asking for help importing from Sims 4, maybe this could've helped.
