Hi are there some updates, by the Rust team or the Unity 3D team
about the problems that makes Rust unstable on Linux ?
Yep, thanks, that happened one month ago, any updates ?
They haven't changed their policy since then, no.
For those that still on rust you will still receive game updates, but the dev team is not going to be focusing on Linux specific issues. A lot of the problems Linux users are having stem from Unity, with the game updating to the latest version of the engine causing most of the problems. Some of the issues may be solved once the next version of Unity is released, but as stated in the sticky the dev team doesn't have the time to give the Linux version the attention it needs/deserves and as such will not be doing Linux specific issues. That's to say it may not change in the future, but given how toxic the Linux community has been I doubt it.
With that being said apparently steam is working on some sort of windows emulator for Linux that's supposed to be much better than what is currently available. Assuming that ever gets done that might be the answer you are looking for.
Yes I know the reasons and I know about Steam Play, thank you, but ...
are there any info about the status of those bugs, being them from the Rust team or the Unity 3D team ?
No, there is not.
