Britain would now vote 59
LONDON: British voters would vote 59-41 to stay in the European Union
if given the option after a six-point swing away from Brexit, an
opinion poll showed Wednesday, the highest recorded support for EU
membership in such a survey since the 2016 referendum.
In the June 23, 2016 referendum, 17.4 million voters, or 51.9 percent
of the votes cast, backed leaving the EU while 16.1 million voters, or
48.1 percent of votes cast, backed staying. Many opinion polls were
wrong about the result.
Polling showed 59 percent of voters would now vote to remain in the
bloc, versus 41 percent who would vote to leave. The findings were
published in an academic-led report Wednesday by research bodies NatCen
and The U.K. in a Changing Europe.
That is the highest recorded support for 'remain' in a series of five
such surveys since the 2016 referendum and a large reversal of the
actual 52-48 percent vote to leave.

What a train wreck
And Theresa May insists there won't be a second referendum. I suppose having a serving of humble pie with crow for desert, is worse than decades of economic uncertainty.
I'm amazed there's still 41 percent.
That mixed with Trump's approval rating, I guess at least 33% of humanity are just massive idiots.
Like, sure, half are idiots, but not all idiots are MASSIVE idiots. At least some people have realized they were objectively wrong.
I hope when Brexit is complete some right wing fascist party doesn't use the resulting economic issues to get in power.
You'd hope by now people would maybe realise that the right wing fascists setting countries about on the path to economic collapses shouldn't be allowed to retain the power they're currently fucking up everything with. But maybe I'm just optimistic.
But guys it would undermine the rule of democracy to hold another referendum so soon after the first one. It hasn't even been four years yet! It's still too soon to tell if things will actually be as bad as the scaremongers are saying. It's just impossible to know! Nobody knows for sure!
It's good that people have realized their mistake at least, even if it's too late. I saw something on the front page of the Daily Express that said the majority of people would vote the same as they did before, it was pretty obvious that something about that was probably biased to get such a strange result but it's just utterly absurd and disheartening that they'd create their own survey and then tout that on their front page as if it's some great outcome to be proud of.
The report that these figures are from does throw in a small caveat with these figures. TLDR with proper weighting this would imply an eyebrow-raising 54% Remain rather than a pants-shitting 59%, but still, that ain't bad
