Hello!
So, I tried to extract stuff from FFXV several times with Ninja Ripper, but everytime, textures end up not being linked at all with meshes. They just have a random texture number.
For exemple, in my last rip, I ripped 1768 meshes. And the arm is the mesh number 157. But its diffuse texture has the number 10109_0, and the normal texture has the number 10127_18.
And I assume they are supposed to be named like Tex_157_0 and Tex_157_1 ... So it makes everything really long to find, and sometimes I can't even find the diffuse texture... which is problematic D:
Anyone knows what's causing that?
Thanks by advance.
1) Ripper gets a lot of duplicate meshes, and you have to find working ones, with correct texture applied and if you lucky with correct uv
2) Texture is right, but UV is wrong no matter which mesh you look at, read at official forum for possible fixes (you can override UV channels in 3ds max default import script, or use optional one)
3) FFXV has it's own dedicated tools to get models from it (and mod tools to import custom models back in game), google 'em, that will allow you to have rigged models, with accurate textures and UV's
