Spider-Man (also known as Marvel's Spider-Man) is an action-adventure game based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man, developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It's really good. Though the combat being similar to Batman but also very different really fucks with me. I keep trying to counter enemies and getting a smack in the face for it.
Absolutely been loving this game and it's probably going to end up there as my GOTY or on the contenders list. Today was just a blur of web slinging and taking down bad guys.
Some minor complaints here, mostly with the camera during battle segments; but the movement mechanics in this game are just wonderful . I've been getting my ass handed to me on the hardest difficulty but I feel that I have much room to improve; but if you're grooving and have high combos going; combat is super fun and feels similar to the Arkham games but I feel much faster and crazier when more enemies are in the fight.

So far this game has been really good. I don't think the web swinging is quite as good as what it was like in the tie in game for the second movie due to it being a lot more restricted. But what it lacks in freedom it makes up for in being ultra accessible and fun as fuck.
I think it's one of the best we've ever had instead, i just wish you could control which hand shoots the web like you did in some of the previous games instead of having spidey alternate it automatically.
Yeah, that's the main issue I have with it to be honest. In the older game you could properly web swing, but in this it's a weird swing>jump>swing>jump thing that still feels good, but isn't quite there.
No PC no buy. Damn shame because it looks fun. Oh well.
I don't have a PS4, but this game has gotten me interested in Spider-Man games. Are there any on Steam, GoG, or XBox that are worth getting?
Man, the brutes are real motherfuckers. Crowd control gets really tough when you're surrounded. My hand slipped off of the controller at one point trying to press all the buttons

I'm really enjoying this, I'm loving the characterisations too. It's great to have a separated Pete and MJ do something different than "oh I love you buuuuuut". FEAST May is great too, a nice change from Rosemary Harris but just as wise. Fuck those Stealth levels though, they're so goddamn terrible.
I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a Symbiote suit.
I think Insomniac has said the reason the Symbiote suit is not in is because they don't want it to be just a simple reskin.
Still would be nice to have the black and white suit.
There's two 2099 skins, one is white one is blue. Nevermind they're slightly different
The Negative Suit is also just the normal Advanced suit inverted. (granted it makes sense given Mister Negative)
Was that a snippet of the Avenger's theme/leitmotif at around 0:08 - 0:20 or is it just one of the regular songs while free roaming? If it's not a regular musical note in the soundtrack, I think it's pretty cool if they play that specific leitmotif if you get near the Avenger's Tower
Peter talks about the advengures when hes near the building so I wouldn't put it past them with the motif.

I'm having an absolute blast with the game. There's so much to do I'm actually worried about finishing it all too fast! I'm trying to pace everything out and unlock the outfits so I can have stuff thematically appropriate but it's nice just swinging around the city too
Played through it, have yet to do all the side content. Thus far the only part of the game I dislike are the challenges, since they all rely on a time constraint and have little to offer that the rest of the game already doesn't do perfectly.
Besides that, it's incredible. It's the culmination of a dozen attempts to make a spider-man game, all accumulated and amalgamated into a game that knows what to take and what to leave from all the others.
I hope the DLC delivers. I have yet to stumble into the first one, assuming it's already in the game.
The one thing I hate the most about this game are those circuit puzzles. Especially when main story missions have them. I noticed there's even an option to skip some of them too, so I guess someone at Insomniac thought they sucked too.
I thought the circuit ones were ultra easy so I wasn't too bothered, but some of those chemical ones had me sitting there for quite a while not being able to progress. It's really annoying that games always seem to include shit like that, I just wanna zip around the city and beat up the bad men.
Iirc there's a option in the accessibility menu that immediately gives you a skip button for all puzzles.
