Hello! I host servers for some people and I noticed one of the people I gave a server to is saying their server isn't on the server list but they can join it directly.
It only shows up on the server list when somebody connects, the server is hosted in the USA and he's from France, is there a reason this would happen?
It seems that other people can see it on the list, but specifically he can not, is this due to how far away he is and GMod just doesn't load a server that far? It isn't a polluted gamemode, it's Hide 'n' Seek where only a few servers exist. His sv_region is default to 255, how could he get it to load on his server browser?

Do servers that are far away not show up for people by default?
Servers generally show up by their server score which is calculated by server ping and the amount of players on and the average players I believe.
So if it's a darkrp server or TTT or something with a lot of servers running it could not be shown on the standard gmod list unless people are on it.
If they can connect to it directly there is nothing to worry about.
It's almost impossible to find "A" server that you run on a thousand server list
