"On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith's Grove. He returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims."

Alright now that's out of the way.
The 2018 film just had it's world premiere at TIFF in toronto is being met with mostly positive to in the middle reviews. But the general concenses is that it's a true sequel to the first film and the new score is badass.
You will start to see early reviews come out for it probably by tomorrow but man am i pleased to hear this turned out great.
I'm kinda excited to see it. It looks like it'll be pretty fun and I wonder how it ends.
Yeah heads up, the reviews are starting to come out and they have spoilers in them. Be careful where you look.
Yeah I'm already seeing lots of articles and such describing this as the start of a new franchise. If that really means what I think it means in regards to the ending of this film, then boy that really wasn't what I was looking for in this. I wanted a finale tbh. I'll still check it out but if this film lacks any substantial resolution (aka Michael finally fucking dying), I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.
I've been hearing other things, a reddit user confirmed the end of the film does not set up a sequel at all. and i heard else where it's very open ended. And i heard one reviewer mention "don't ever make another sequel ever. This was it"
Heard nothing but positivity from TIFF. I'm seeing it opening weekend.
Here's a small taste of the new halloween score.

Just a small PSA heads up.
They are currently airing/releasing TV SPOTS that contain shots that are major spoilers for the film. Stay as far away from them as you can if you don't wanna be spoiled.
