• Server hosted in Florida not appearing in my french server browser

This is really weird.. I see a lot of American servers with 0 players and +150 in my server browser, but I can't see mine The server is called "Gabwiel's Hide & Seek 2.0", can someone please check if you see it and from where do you come from (sv_region is set to 255) Thanks
This could be a loading issue or a ping issue. Since you are in France, it could take a few ms longer for your Garry's Mod to ping servers that are hosted in the United States. What that means is that servers located near you would certainly take precedence over servers located further away from you.
"I see a lot of American servers with 0 players and +150 in my server browser, but I can't see mine" There is servers with 999 ping in my server browser
There is a well known issue with the server list. Basically, Valve decided to limit the number of servers that it will tell a client about, and it prioritizes servers within the same region. This kind of makes sense when you can reasonably expect every server to provide a similar experience, but this really doesn't make sense for Garry's Mod. You can use a third-party server browser to get around this. Maybe try this one? SteamServerBrowser
I want to fix the issue server-side, not client-side :/ It's useless to host a server if all non-americans can't join it
Good luck with that. People have been trying to get Valve to revert this region filter for years. The only other option would be for Facepunch Studios to change the built-in server browser, but IIRC Garry is blocking any efforts to make that happen.
So basically, I'm fucked, right ?
