The pickle Rick episode wasn't even that good IMO. There's much better ones from season 1.
What the fuck? This garbage heap won it and not Venture Brothers? Christ.
fuck, if you're gonna give the award to a rick and morty episode, at least give it to ricklantis/tales from the citadel
god damnit the meme was just starting to die, here we go again
I said it on their Facebook page and will say it again: Tender Touches got robbed.
Jokes on them, I was only pretending to massively embarrass myself.
i wonder if Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland are frustrated with this meme shit, since it seems no matter what they do with RnM. Everyone will just gobble it up. Idk, but being a creator of content. I'd probably get stressed out or angry if everything i make, everyone just immediately thinks its good since its labeled as ___.
it's a conspiracy I tell ya
they're probably frustrated that any actual funny jokes they made are just ignored in favour of LMAO PICKLE RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK HAHAAA
Bojack?
You know, I’m just glad we have such a variety of great animated shows. Rick and Morty is great, they did give it to the wrong episode though. We we live in a good time for animated shows for our age group
One of the cool things about many animated movies and cartoons is that they can have some very subversive, funny, adult jokes whilst still marketing to children. It's arguably one of the reasons that stuff like The Simpsons became so popular.
Performance art at its highest
This is proof that we are in the darkest timeline of mankind.
Season 4 better not get super sidetracked by Harmon's personal issues. Again.
I think it's fairly well written except the worst sort of fans missed the episode's point to a moronic degree.
To be fair, the panel they did during San Diego Comic Con didn't appear to be that well received. The giant horde of "fans" were expecting to get a preview of Season 4, what they got was a mock radio show with Rick And Morty. When they aired it on the Adult Swim Stream you could actually see a majority of the audience gradually get pissed off over this. A shame as it was actually pretty funny. I can almost guarantee that if the bit in that live show about 80's Ralston Purina cereals was in an episode of the animated series that that would be the new Schezuan Sauce.
It didn't air between June 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018
If I were in there shoes I'd be more frustrated by the fact that so many people have turned their backs on the show and think it's garbage because of a few obnoxious fans
Remember, the Emmys are the awards that have give the Big Bang Theory a total of FOURTY-SIX nominations and nine wins.
eh, the episode wasnt that bad but it wasn't top notch either.
Wow Breaking bad got 58 and won 16, also wikipedia says TBBT got seven wins.
I'm seeing it as a win for R&M, the little show that could and then DEFINITELY did, rather than Pickle Rick. But yes, there are plenty better episodes. Realistically speaking, have awards shows always been this clueless?
Season 3 was garbage except for Ricklantis. I hope season 4 is better
Ramin only just got one for his work on Game of Thrones two days ago After 7 seasons of some of the best music that graced television
Honestly I liked this episode solely due to the therapy sessions and the analysis of Beth and Rick's dysfunctional coping mechanisms. It was a pleasant surprise and portrayed therapy in a positive way, even with the corophagia jokes. I think it added a lot of depth to both characters and gave Rick some vulnerability and motivation as to why he's an alcoholic, narcissistic asshole who's above everything. He'd rather become a pickle and nearly die than fix his dysfunctional relationships because they require work and are not exciting like collapsing a government of fucking a stadium full of redheads.
I liked the episode for the reasons SleepyAI mentioned but I also think the pickle Rick segments were pretty nicely animated. I think it's fine that they picked this episode.
How dare you guys enjoy a show for its content, you freaks.
Anyone want to actually explain why Pickle Rick is a bad episode besides "people liked the wrong aspects of it"?
