I haven't played the series since 2K13. Man what a fucking shit show.
That Gatorade ad is unbelievable lmao
I remember when Dead Space 3 came out and the first idiots to proclaim "players choice" came out of the woodworks. This is the worst case scenario we had back then and it's not even as bad as GTA Online.
The idea of "giving the player a choice" is, always has been, and always will be complete bullshit. They're giving the player a choice of how to deal with a problem that they deliberately created.
Save us Belgium.
Unless the market has a serious revision and something major happens, this is like a festering tumor in this series now that you can't get rid of without the publisher trying to make it grow back in some way or another. You'd be better off putting the series down like Old Yeller and giving the license to a different company rather than continuing to shoulder the hellish burden, jesus christ. I think recently the publisher was practically begging consumers to buy into their microtransactions, too.
the sad thing is i actually enjoyed the nba 2k series, until last year anyways like jesus christ, the amount of begging the game does to have me pay more turned me the fuck off instantly. i wish predatory micro-transactions would fuck off but that's not gonna happen unless governments step in.
Thanks GTAO Shark Cards, and thanks Take-Two for envenoming every other product with this bullshit.
I skipped last years because of this. I was excited for this one but it's supposed to be worse???
Wanna know whats extra fun, they also nerfed exp gain at the release of the game, people who got the special edition and could already play had way better exp, 30-100% in some areas. Basically faking how bad the grind will be and probably getting a few extra sales with this.
The video in the article wont load for me, got a vid for it?
You have to thank the people buying shark cards as well, this a entirely a two way phenomenon, even if the majority onus is on the creators.
hahahaha fucking advertisements in a $60 full paid product fuck you
god i almost lost it at that embedded article image
It's probably because of your adblock
I'm vomiting
Now that is a special kind of comedy.
That video is fucking disgusting.
When will people stop buying this kind of shit?
They won't. Welcome to the timeline in which videogames went ultra mainstream.
When the finally fully interconnected neurons in their brains allow them to make fully grown ass decisions so about 27, or when their parents make the decision for them circa get a fucking job and support your own habit, also clean your damn room
Parental behavior is what frequently causes these purchasing decisions to begin with, cut the whole "them whippersnappers" routine. And it doesn't even have anything to necessarily do with parenting. It has to do with mainstream consumers being utterly uneducated to what gaming actually has to offer and are under the impression that this is what it's about.
A huge portion of the sports gaming audience is completely separated from the general gaming audience. There are people who play nothing but 2k and just buy the new game for the updated roster.
You're clueless as fuck. Sports gaming is entirely it's own thing and is barely connected to mainstream gaming, much less any other genre/niche/format. The average sports gamer is 22, the average gamer is almost 40.
Nothing that you replied with in any way possesses any relevancy to what I have mentioned.
Are you okay? You're not sounding yourself. But yeah NBA Live 19 apparently has no microtransactions (surprising since it's made by EA Sports) so maybe yall can try that out if you want a career mode with no microtransactions.
The newest sportsTM game simulates every pore on a players skin and boasts realistic sweat dynamics. Also every time you start up the game, $4.99 is automatically charged from your bank account.
Does the Live series have a real career mode now? For me, one of the draws to 2K the past few years was that they had a more cinematic career mode (like what FIFA's doing now).
Sad that a lot of sport games are filled with microtransactions nowadays. Can't really find a decent sports game that is just a proper sports game.
