hello folks - before i start please read the following post - Reverse Engineering FS2013 .i3d.shapes format.
so 4 years later i have the same problem, but till right now no answer, how it works.
it works perfect, i have found different mods - they are all out of a dlc pack.
so a very importent thing - i have all the stuff paid with my own money so it is absolut correct.
so the issue is, the pack is extracted, all stuff is there but i can´t open the i3d, because anything is wrong with the shape files.
the user from this post - Reverse Engineering FS2013 .i3d.shapes format, has the solution but i can´t send him a message to ask him by myself and please him to explain me the steps to do it by myself and learn how it works.
sorry for my bad english and best regards from germany:)))
https://forum.facepunch.com/f/nerds/phit/Reverse-Engineering-FS2013-i3d-shapes-format/1/ is the thread you're talking about I guess? It looks like they worked out how to decrypt the file but the decrypted data was still in some (probably) proprietary format.
ohhh a answer:))). fantastic.
so let me first say the headline from this post - "you pleased" is the wrong translation:))).
anyway - i have the script from this post - it is a .cs file but i don´t know what i must doing to let him run.
i have downloaded dlc extracted mods, they all worked very well. dlc openning is quite easy with quick bms, all textures are in the standard format, so all looks fine.
my huuuuuuuuge problem is, when i open the id3 the editor is loading and crushing.
so it must possible to open up this damn file, but there is nobody to talk me witch prog i must use.
so please help me...
I made this tool to work with the results of that thread. It has some dependencies and you have to compile it yourself to get it to work. GitHub
Hello Donkie:))).
many many thanks for your link to github.
month after month i searched in the net about this solution but i must learn how to compile this stuff and get it to work:)))
i have already installed visual studio, so my first thoughts are this files must imported to visual studio?!
anyway, i am very happy about your post and this is one step closer to a maybe solution.
so far, so good, i must read what is going on.
please feel free for more golden tips and best regards:))))
bye for now...
Hello Folks:))
i have downloaded the files from github and now i MUST QUIT.
Compiling this stuff is to difficult for me - i have absolute no clue what is to do and where!
i have no compiler or programming skills to do that job well done!
so is there anybody outhere to help me to become my goal - the compiled .exe must be in the same directory as the .shape files, it makes all steps more easier.
please feel free to send me any commend for furtheraction and please to help me decrypt that stuff...
Best Regards:))))
I have built it for you now. You can find the executable at: Release Version 1.0.0 · Donkie/I3DShapesTool · GitHub
You need to run it from windows cmd. Example command:
I3DShapesTool.exe -d -f=stl "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Farming Simulator 15\data\vehicles\balers\newHolland\newHollandBB1290.i3d.shapes"
Hello Folks:))) - Hello Donkie:))).
Fantastic Job and many thanks for your Job to compiling your stuff and help me!
So i have seen that tool is build on X86, i use only x64 bit, maybe it´s important to know - maybe not.
i tested your tool moments ago and see two different messages on the screen.
First file doensn´t exist and after i trried another file, i saw the following text on screen
Loading file: ropaTiger6.i3d.shapes
File Size: 14,11 MB
File Seed: 40
File Version: 5
Unbehandelte Ausnahme: System.NotSupportedException: Unsupported version
bei I3DShapesTool.Program.ParseFile()
bei I3DShapesTool.Program.Main(String[] args)
after this comes a windows box with option to exit or to debugg.
so a perfect match was it with your personal e-mail adress, for this case i can send you my problem modfile and its easier for you to test this stuff but i have no clue where i can find your adress.
so, once again MANY MANY THANKS SO FAR:))))
Best Regards
The program only supports models from FS13 and FS15 (I think) at the moment.
