this "despite" is pointless, the population rises so does the rate, the rate of cancer treatment development has no chance to keep up because it is a difficult process.
Well no shit its cancer. Treatment is getting better each year, but still kills a good number of people.

Similar argument/fallacy to Autism. Alot of the time the rate of cancer/autism increases just due to more proactive and earlier detection or hell even just diagnosing it in the first place.
I honestly can't believe it's so few, though. I feel like everyone and their dog gets cancer these days. How is it only 10 million globally? hell, how is it even only 10 mill in the west alone?
