Kavanaugh and referred it to federal investigators — but declined to make public any details, citing confidentiality issues. So basically Trump's pick for the Supreme Court is a literal attempted rapist. And not some flimsy Tumblr-branded "ideological rape" or whatever, like "actually violently pinned her down and stifled her cries for help as he tried to screw her" full-on rape. Not that this will change anything, mind you. But just putting that out there.

I feel like this could potentially backfire horribly if nothing results from this letter and he gets sworn in anyway. You know people are going to spin this as a character assassination attempt because let’s face it, anything coming from Feinstein is usually bullshit. On top of that, sexual assault/rape accusations are already hard to prove beyond a reasonable doubt with no credible witnesses unless the perpetrators slip up with their story. It’s virtually impossible to prove if the offense was committed several years ago. I hope he doesn’t get sworn in, but anything coming from Feinstein should never be taken at face value.

An accused rapist for which no evidence exists aside from a currently anonymous statement. If its true its disgusting but theres no way to prove it happened, since it happened 40ish years ago, so right now this is just a smear campaign.
